Nearly 50 million meals distributed to date
Nearly two million meals delivered today across three distribution sites
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) continued its operations today to provide vital food aid for the Palestinian people in Gaza. Below is an update on today’s operations:
BY THE NUMBERS
Distributed 26,784 boxes of aid today across three distribution sites:
Location | Truckloads | Boxes | Meals |
SDS2 (Saudi Neighborhood) | 12 | 10,368 | 665,280 |
SDS3 (Khan Younis) | 12 | 10,368 | 665,280 |
SDS4 (Wadi Gaza) | 7 | 6,048 | 388,080 |
TOTAL | 31 | 26,784 | 1,718,640 |
In addition to our standard food aid items, we distributed two truckloads of potatoes at each distribution site today in an expanded pilot program as we continue to seek ways to provide even more aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Approximately 49,915,822 meals distributed to-date via roughly 882,240 boxes.
SAFETY/SECURITY
Aid distribution at all sites proceeded without incident.
STATEMENTS FROM GHF INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOHN ACREE
June 28, 2025
“There is a claim from an anonymous IDF soldier alleging chaos at our aid sites. To date, there have been no incidents or fatalities at or in the immediate vicinity of any of our distribution sites.
“We restate that areas outside of GHF’s perimeter are controlled by the IDF. It is vital that aid-seekers stay on the dedicated passage and closely follow instructions from our Facebook posts. We have also requested the IDF to do more to ensure our passages are kept safe for aid-seekers and investigate any allegations of harm at or near our aid sites.
“While we wait to hear from Israel to investigate these serious allegations further, GHF will continue to focus on feeding as many people as is safely possible within the constraints of a highly volatile environment — and we are doing it successfully day after day, delivering nearly 50 million meals to date since our operations began a month ago — even as other aid organizations struggle to deliver aid safely to beneficiaries.”
UPDATES AND CORRECTIONS
INACCURATE NEWS REPORTING: There are reports from Haaretz that Israeli soldiers have been ordered to fire on aid seekers. To date, there have been no incidents or fatalities at or in the immediate vicinity of any of our distribution sites. However, IDF is tasked with providing safe passage for aid-seekers to all humanitarian organizations operating in Gaza, including GHF. GHF is not aware of any of these incidents but these allegations are too grave to ignore and we therefore call on Israel to investigate them and transparently publish the results in a timely manner.
We successfully completed our deliveries today without incident, and will continue our operations in the coming days. False allegations of attacks near aid distribution sites have unfortunately become a consistent pattern. Inaccurate reporting of events in the region hampers distribution of life-saving aid to those who need it most.
Our GHF news monitoring continues to reveal inaccurate news coverage by international media outlets linking GHF sites to violent incidents that did not occur near our sites, but in fact occurred at United Nations’ (UN) convoy sites or other humanitarian groups who operate near our site. The UN has confirmed this in their own reporting. We have experienced a growing pattern of false information seemingly formulated by the Gaza Health Ministry, an arm of Hamas, and then reported first by Al Jazeera and then echoed by the UN and it appears now by MSF.
BOTTOM LINE: The Hamas-affiliated Gaza Health Ministry is not a credible source of information.
