The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) continued its operations today to provide vital food aid for the Palestinian people in Gaza. Below is an update on today’s operations:
BY THE NUMBERS
Distributed 30,240 boxes of aid today across three distribution sites:
| Location | Truckloads | Boxes | Meals |
| SDS2 (Saudi Neighborhood) | 12 | 10,368 | 665,280 |
| SDS3 (Khan Younis) | 15 | 12,960 | 831,600 |
| SDS4 (Wadi Gaza) | 8 | 6,912 | 443,520 |
| TOTAL | 35 | 32,240 | 1,940,400 |
In addition to our standard food aid items, we distributed six truckloads of potatoes at the SDS2 and SDS3 distribution sites today in an ongoing pilot program as we continue to seek ways to provide even more aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Approximately 64,967,842 meals distributed to date via roughly 1,116,816 boxes.
SAFETY/SECURITY
On Saturday, two American aid workers were injured in a targeted terrorist attack during food distribution activities at SDS-3 in Khan Younis. The attack – which preliminary information indicates was carried out by two assailants who threw two grenades at the Americans – occurred at the conclusion of an otherwise successful distribution in which thousands of Gazans safely received food. No local aid workers or civilians were harmed.
STATEMENTS FROM GHF INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOHN ACREE
July 7, 2025
“Our operations proceeded smoothly today with our team delivering nearly two million meals. We are continuing to monitor the threats against our aid workers by Hamas, and we will not be deterred.”
“Our team continues to operate with great success in the most difficult humanitarian environment in the world. We remain ready to partner with other organizations to scale up and deliver more meals to the people of Gaza.”
UPDATES & CORRECTIONS
INACCURATE NEWS REPORTING: The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation released the following statement today in response to recent, inaccurate reporting by Reuters:
“Today, Reuters published a story that its reporters and editors know to be false. As we made clear to them repeatedly, GHF is not planning for or implementing Humanitarian Transit Areas (HTAs) now or at any point in the future. The presentation they cite is not a GHF document and has nothing to do with our organization or mission, period. It is disturbing that they falsely reported this disinformation despite repeated denials. Our sole focus remains on scaling up food aid operations to meet the urgent and overwhelming needs of the population in Gaza.” – Chapin Fay, Spokesperson, GHF.
