More than 82 million meals distributed to date

More than two million meals delivered today across two distribution sites

Please follow @GHFUpdates for regular updates.

We’re deeply saddened by reports that more than 30 people were killed while trying to access food from a UN convoy at the Zikim crossing in Northern Gaza as humanitarian efforts face escalating violence.

Like most violent incidents, this incident is not linked to GHF, despite what was falsely implied by Al Jazeera. These tragedies deserve visibility. The entire aid system is under immense strain.

We hope reporters will cover these incidents with the same scrutiny GHF receives because understanding the full picture is essential to protecting civilians and improving aid delivery.

BY THE NUMBERS

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) continued its operations today to provide vital food aid for the Palestinian people in Gaza. Below is an update on today’s operations:

Distributed 31,968 boxes of aid today at two distribution sites:

LocationTruckloadsBoxesMeals
SDS2 (Saudi Neighborhood)1311,232720,720
SDS3 (Khan Younis)2420,7361,330,560
TOTAL3731,9682,051,280

Approximately 82,209,682 meals distributed to date via roughly 1,385,560 boxes.

Additionally, two truckloads of potatoes were distributed to SDS2 Saudi Neighborhood and five truckloads to SDS3 Khan Younis as part of our ongoing pilot program.

SAFETY/SECURITY

Distributions at all sites ran smoothly today, ensuring the protection of all civilians present.

STATEMENTS FROM GHF INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOHN ACREE

July 20, 2025

“We’ve now delivered over 82 million meals in Gaza — a reflection of our team’s extraordinary commitment under tremendous pressure. But no milestone will ever be enough until every family in Gaza has reliable access to food. That’s why we continue to adapt our approach, improve communication about site openings, and prioritize safety at every distribution for civilians and our staff and partners.

“While all other aid groups have stopped delivering food reliably into Gaza, we continue to feed people. I once again call on the UN to work with us to deliver their stockpiles of aid sitting inside Gaza to those in need. We will do all we can to support their efforts.”

INACCURATE NEWS REPORTING:

Inaccurate reporting has again falsely stated that those seeking aid were killed near GHF’s distribution sites. This is blatantly false and inconsistent with what GHF workers are seeing on the ground.

The false reporting, perpetuated by the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry, is part of a larger pattern of Hamas trying to undermine and ultimately end GHF. It is no coincidence that this incident occurred during ceasefire negotiations, where Hamas continues to demand that GHF cease operations.
