The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) continued its operations today to provide vital food aid for the Palestinian people in Gaza. Below is an update on today’s operations:
BY THE NUMBERS
Distributed 15,552 boxes of aid today across two distribution sites:
Location | Truckloads | Boxes | Meals |
SDS2 (Saudi Neighborhood) | 10 | 8,640 | 554,400 |
SDS3 (Khan Younis) | 8 | 6,912 | 443,520 |
TOTAL | 18 | 15,552 | 997,920 |
In addition to our standard food aid items, we distributed 8 truckloads of potatoes at the SDS2 and SDS3 today in an ongoing pilot program as we continue to seek ways to provide even more aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Approximately 63,027,442 meals distributed to date via roughly 1,086,576 boxes.
SAFETY/SECURITY
Yesterday two American aid workers were injured in a targeted terrorist attack during food distribution activities at SDS-3 in Khan Younis. The attack – which preliminary information indicates was carried out by two assailants who threw two grenades at the Americans – occurred at the conclusion of an otherwise successful distribution in which thousands of Gazans safely received food. No local aid workers or civilians were harmed.
STATEMENTS FROM GHF INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOHN ACREE
July 6, 2025
“We continued our operations today without incident. The terrorist attack that targeted our aid workers will not prevent us from continuing to deliver millions of meals to Gazans.
“We have issued repeated warnings to the international community about credible threats from Hamas — including explicit intentions to target our American personnel, Palestinian aid workers, and the civilians who depend on our sites for food. The recent direct attack on our team tragically validates those warnings. Yet in the face of this, we remain undeterred in our mission.”
UPDATES & CORRECTIONS
INACCURATE NEWS REPORTING: The Associated Press referred to Hamas’s so-called Health Ministry as providing “the most reliable statistics on war casualties”—while casting doubt on GHF’s confirmed report that two American aid workers were injured in a targeted terrorist attack. The double standard is staggering. GHF has faced public threats from Hamas, endured the assassination of 12 local staff, and now survived a grenade attack. Yet somehow, it is Hamas—not the victims—that receives the benefit of the doubt.
BOTTOM LINE: The Hamas-affiliated Gaza Health Ministry is not a credible source of information.
