The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) continued its operations today to provide vital food aid for the Palestinian people in Gaza. Below is an update on today’s operations:
BY THE NUMBERS
Distributed 23,328 boxes of aid today across two distribution sites:
| Location | Truckloads | Boxes | Meals |

| SDS3 (Khan Younis) | 15 | 12,960 | 831,600 |
| TOTAL | 27 | 23,328 | 1,496,880 |
In addition to our standard food aid items, we distributed three truckloads of potatoes at the SDS3 distribution site today in an ongoing pilot program as we continue to seek ways to provide even more aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Approximately 66,464,722 meals distributed to date via roughly 1,140,144 boxes.
SAFETY/SECURITY
Distributions at all sites ran smoothly, ensuring the protection of all civilians present.
STATEMENTS FROM GHF INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOHN ACREE
July 8, 2025
“As the number of meals delivered continues to grow, the heart of our mission remains the same: getting food into the hands of those who need it most.
“We are operating in one of the most difficult environments in the world, yet our team continues to show up, deliver, and scale operations. GHF is here to feed the people in Gaza and we will not be pulled off course – by disinformation, intimidation, or distraction. We remain focused and committed to the life-saving work ahead.”
UPDATES & CORRECTIONS
INACCURATE NEWS REPORTING: Yesterday Reuters issued a correction to a story that its reporters and editors knew to be false, but published anyway. The story cited a presentation citing Humanitarian Transit Areas (HTAs) that Reuters claimed was connected to GHF. We made it unequivocally clear, on the record, that the document was not ours, does not reflect our work, and has absolutely no connection to GHF or to our mission.
We’ve seen this pattern play out before, from the Washington Post to NBC News. This is only the latest example of inaccurate, agenda-driven coverage of GHF being used to distort and distract from our one mission to meet the urgent and overwhelming needs of the population in Gaza.
Bottomline: GHF is not planning for or implementing HTAs, period. Our sole focus remains on scaling up food aid operations to meet the urgent and overwhelming needs of the population in Gaza.
