STATEMENTS FROM GHF INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOHN ACREE

June 24, 2025

“Today our team achieved a major milestone: 40 million meals delivered in under a month of operations. This extraordinary accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and resilience of our aid workers on the ground.

“From the beginning, our mission has been clear — to find a safer, faster and more direct way to deliver emergency food aid. As we look ahead, we remain focused on scaling our efforts to ensure even more food reaches the people of Gaza who need it most.”

UPDATES AND CORRECTIONS

INACCURATE NEWS REPORTING: There continue to be false allegations of attacks near aid distribution sites, which have since been discredited and walked back. This has unfortunately become a consistent pattern. Inaccurate reporting of events in the region hampers distribution of life-saving aid to those who need it most.

Our GHF news monitoring continues to reveal inaccurate news coverage by international media outlets linking GHF sites to violent incidents that did not occur near our sites, but in fact occurred at United Nations’ (UN) convoy sites or other humanitarian groups who operate near our site.

BOTTOM LINE: The UN has aid convoys in the vicinity of our distribution sites and uses corridors in proximity to them. The Hamas-affiliated Gaza Health Ministry is not a credible source of information, as it fails to report any UN convoys or distribution sites that are linked to violent incidents.
