August 1, 2025 – The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation Delivers 100 Million Free Meals in Gaza
Beyond this milestone, GHF leadership says more aid urgently needed

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) today announced it has reached a historic milestone, delivering 100 million free meals directly to the Palestinian people in Gaza since operations began two months ago.
“Since President Trump gave us the mission from the White House on May 5, when he expressed his outrage at Hamas stealing food from the people of Gaza, GHF has brought life saving assistance to the Gaza Strip amidst two wars, including the 12-day war. Gaza is one of the most complex operating environments in the world, and we are very proud of the incredible work our dedicated team has accomplished while operating in a very dangerous and active war zone,” said Executive Chairman Rev. Johnnie Moore. “However, the milestone is bittersweet given the continued shortage of aid coming into Gaza from other humanitarian groups who either lack the ability to safely deliver it or the willingness to work with those who can.”
GHF remains the only reliable food aid system in Gaza, delivering millions of meals each day to aid seekers. Meanwhile, new data shows nearly 90% of aid trucks for the UN and other humanitarian groups are being looted by military age men, with many civilians being injured and trampled.
“As GHF continues to feed the people of Gaza, this should serve as a call to action for other humanitarian groups, including the UN, to step up and collaborate with us so that there is more aid for more people,” said Interim Executive Director John Acree. “Together we can end the cycle of chaos and looting and ensure there is enough aid for all who need it, wherever they live in Gaza.”
GHF recently piloted a successful direct-to-community distribution program that will help reach and feed more Gazans, including vulnerable populations who are unable to make the trek to secure distribution sites. GHF is actively working with and vetting local NGOs, families and community groups to scale the program.
GHF aid boxes include enough food to feed a family of 5.5, three times a day, for 3.5 days. Each box contains similar items but varies based on availability and cost, among other factors. GHF boxes were built off of the same ingredient lists used by organizations like WFP, Oxfam, and Anera – all organizations with long histories in Gaza. We also have partnered with other organizations to deliver significant quantities of their aid boxes, which are similar in content.
GHF is tremendously proud of the men and women who are working around the clock in service to this vital mission.
