BY THE NUMBERS

Distributed 1,884,960 meals today across three distribution sites:

  • SDS3 (Khan Younis) distributed 13 truckloads of food today, totaling 12,480 boxes providing approximately 720,720 meals.
  • SDS4 (Wadi Gaza) distributed 9 truckloads of food today, totaling 8,640 boxes providing approximately 498,960 meals.
  • This brings the total number of meals distributed to-date to approximately 27,795,262 via roughly 474,720 boxes.

SAFETY/SECURITY

Aid distribution at all sites proceeded without incident.

STATEMENTS FROM GHF INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOHN ACREE

June 17, 2025

“All food aid unloaded today was delivered smoothly at three sites. We did have some early overcrowding at our fourth site (SDS1) today that prevented trucks from arriving and unloading. Otherwise, we would have reached three million meals delivered today.

“I would like to remind everyone we serve to avoid arriving and crowding at the sites before opening. I can understand your anxiety but ask for patience and order. This is important for your safety and for the safety of all local workers. Ultimately, we are hopeful that additional humanitarian groups will join our effort so we have enough aid everyday to distribute to all Palestinians seeking food aid.

“At present, Gaza is not a controlled environment. It is a humanitarian emergency and we are operating under an emergency environment in a conflict zone. People are starving and their desperation can create hazardous conditions. The uncomfortable truth is this: until there is enough food aid inside Gaza, we will not always complete “orderly” deliveries. GHF is doing everything it can to provide food quickly, secularly and at scale. That is much more than can be said for others involved.”

UPDATES AND CORRECTIONS

INACCURATE NEWS REPORTING: We have seen a growing pattern of false information seemingly formulated by the Gaza Health Ministry, an arm of Hamas, and then reported first by Al Jazeera and then echoed by the United Nations. It is unfortunate that both organizations, especially the United Nations, continue to push false information regarding our operations. We understand the United Nations is also trying to deliver aid into Gaza, but yet are unaccountable about the percentage of their deliveries that are being looted versus making their final destination.

We continue to support their efforts and call on them to work with us to ensure more aid reaches the people of Gaza, not Hamas and other criminal elements.
