More than 36 million meals distributed to date. More than one million meals today across three distribution sites

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) continued its operations today to provide vital food aid for the Palestinian people in Gaza. Below is an update on today’s operations:

BY THE NUMBERS

Distributed 1,275,120 meals today across three distribution sites:

LocationTruckloadsBoxesMeals
SDS2 (Saudi Neighborhood)87,680443,520
SDS3 (Khan Younis)87,680443,520
SDS4 (Wadi Gaza)76,720388,080
TOTAL2322,0801,275,120

Today’s reduced distribution numbers reflect supply chain disruptions due to the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict and the observance of Shabbat, which renders the Kerem Shalom crossing inaccessible. Daily aid totals are expected to increase again following the reopening of Kerem Shalom on Sunday.

Approximately 36,554,782 meals distributed to-date via roughly 626,400 boxes.

SAFETY/SECURITY

Aid distribution at all sites proceeded without incident.

STATEMENTS FROM GHF INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOHN ACREE

June 21, 2025

“GHF’s aid workers continue to show up every day and deliver food safely and securely to the people of Gaza. Again today, our team operated without any incidents across our distribution sites. ”

“We are delivering aid at scale, securely and effectively, under some of the most challenging conditions in the world. But we cannot meet the full scale of need while large parts of Gaza remain closed. We are working with the government of Israel to honor its commitment and open additional sites in Northern Gaza.

“The people of Gaza desperately need more aid and we are ready to partner with other humanitarian groups to expand our reach to those who need help the most.”

UPDATES AND CORRECTIONS

INACCURATE NEWS REPORTING: There were numerous false allegations yesterday of an attack near an aid distribution site, which have since been discredited and walked back. This has unfortunately become a consistent pattern. Inaccurate reporting of events in the region hampers distribution of life-saving aid to those who need it most.

Our GHF news monitoring continues to reveal inaccurate news coverage by international media outlets linking GHF sites to violent incidents that did not occur near our sites, but in fact occurred at United Nations’ (UN) convoy sites. MSNBC falsely reported an incident that happened at a GHF aid distribution site and issued an on-air correction for their false report to clarify it was a UN convoy and distribution effort.

Reuters and Washington Post have yet to correct their reporting.

We also refer you to this report from OCHA. (OCHA Humanitarian Situation Update, 6/18/25)

BOTTOM LINE: The UN has aid convoys in the vicinity of our distribution sites and uses corridors in proximity to them. The Hamas-affiliated Gaza Health Ministry is not a credible source of information, as it fails to report any UN convoys or distribution sites that are linked to violent incidents.
